Re-Assembly Plans:  Additional Details

We look forward to meeting onsite for church again. This is a living / evolving plan that will change as new information, inputs, and decisions occur. Please feel free to check back periodically for updates.

Our planning for re-assembly seeks to incorporate: our call to feed the flock and worship together; respect for all life and well-being of all; humility and love to all within our brotherhood and the community; respect of the leadership of the national Apostolic Christian Church; respect for local, state, national and health (CDC) authorities. We are thankful and enjoin prayer as we all seek God in submission to Christ with love to all.

Church, Health, & Civil Framework

Our Washington re-assembly planning takes these elements into consideration.

  1. The Apostolic Christian Church Elder body and Medical committee have shared guidelines they have provided each congregation.
  2. The CDC has general health and safety practice guidelines including recommendations for faith-based gatherings regarding sanitation, social distancing, and the use of face coverings. These guidelines also acknowledge and promote the separate of church and state.
  3. Illinois has a state re-opening plan with 4 major regions. We are in Region 2 – North Central.
  4. There are other proposals within the region, as well as activity nationally and among religious groups and authorities that will likely continue to influence adjustments to the phases and criteria. We will continue to monitor and consider adjustments as things change.
  5. Our planning committee desires input and feedback and has/will use surveys, feedback conversations, etc. for the church to assist us as we evolve this plan. .
