As followers of Jesus, we become disciples or "learners" of Him, seeking to become
like Him in heart, thought, action, and attitude. God has designed this process of discipleship to unfold in His body as brothers and sisters walk alongside each other, teaching and learning from one another. This can occur through fellowship during regular church activities, small group interactions, young group, formal one-on-one mentoring, etc. Below is an outline of our current discipleship initiatives and programs:
The all-church study is a series of Bible studies (conducted by ministers) and testimonies (given by members of the congregation). The Bible studies dive deeper into various aspects of discipleship, and the testimonies focus on how brothers and sisters have applied the concepts in everyday life. As a church family, we are excited to learn and grow together around this topic! To access the recordings/resources from our current and previous series, please click below:
Small groups consist of 3+ individuals that connect through a shared interest or need. They may begin organically, or may be facilitated by church leadership. Existing groups include Newly Married Couples Mentoring, Growing Godly Girls (Middle-school girls), Body Builders (Middle-school boys), and Mana for Moms.
The mentor program is available to anyone attending the Washington AC Church. If you would like to be paired with a mentor, please contact one of the ministers or their wives. Or, if you have someone specific in mind you would like to ask, feel free to reach out to them directly. If you would like to be added to our list of available mentors, please contact Ron Messner (rmessner1954@gmail.com) or Kaleb Beyer (kbeyer32@gmail.com).
